Question: Can I work for CIS with a bad Credit Score?

I would like to apply for a job with the financial company CIS in the UK but I have quite a bad Credit Score. I don't have any ccj's and I'm not bankrupt and I'm currently repaying my debts through CCCS. I understand that most financial institutions perform a credit check on application for employment. Would I be wasting my time applying? And are all financial institutions the same.

Answer: They perform a credit search on you, any financial difficulties you can not work for the CIS, how can you advise when you can not maintain your own financial requirements.

I wouldn't waste my time, as it is an FSA regulation that credit searches take place.

I work for CIS my self, and i have seen many people not get the job due to bad credit history, the most effective way to see if you eligible is check your experian report. and try and open a Co-operative current account. as the Co-op are very prudent on who they lend money to, and who can have an account. this would give some indication weather your CCCS are going to effect an application.

I wish you the best of luck in your efforts to get a job with the CIS.

Kind Regards.
