Question: Age of Credit lines in FICO Score? Is there a MAX?

I have a few credit cards. The oldest one is about 10 years old but charges me an annual fee. The next two cards are about 8 years old. I know that 15% of the Credit Score comes from the length of time you have had a credit line open. So is there a max? Say cards 8 years or older all have the same value? Or if I cancel the 10 year old card, will my score suffer a 15% decrease simply because it is the oldest?

Answer: Cancelling card will not have any effect on your score. However, remeber that another critcal component is what % of available credit you have is available. If the 10 year old card for example is never used, but has a 5,000 credit limit, and the other two cards also have 5,000 limits, but average 1,000 a month in charges, your % number will rise from 2,000/15,000 (13%) to 2,000/10,000 (20%).
The best action would be to call the other two credit card companies, tell them you are cancelling the one card, and will they raise your credit limit. The other option is to call the 10 year old card company, and ask if they will eliminate the yearly fee. With the exception of Amex, very few credit cards carry annual fees any longer.

Question: I am looking for the funny Credit Score commercial.?

The woman is telling the story of when her Credit Score was like 590 and it was hilarious because the number itself was in her house wreaking havoc. Her life was bad and the Credit Score was like a furry dog trying to bite her son. Later the higher number Credit Score was well behaved sitting on her lap. What was this commercial advertising? Where can I see it? Thanks
