Answer: The two best tools two repair your credit with are your eyeballs and your brain, no software required. Your Credit Score is just based off the info contained in your report and your report is based on what the various creditors have reported. No software can change that! Errors can wrongly affect your score, but you can fix those on your own by filing a dispute with the agency the report is from (Equifax, Transunion or Experian).

Please don't buy any software. The only thing that can fix credit, legally, is you making sure the history is accurate (it's often not!) and keeping your current behavior good!

Question: Some Credit Score questions?

My credit scores stinks badly. Most of it is really old, stale debt that I've ignored because its been a struggle to pay rent, keep food in the house, etc. I've zero open cards because I am scared to get in over my head like I did in my early to mid 20s. I also know that if anyone did give me credit and they won't with a score of like 480 they would charge me very very high interest rates, so I am scared of that. What can I do, to improve my score?

Answer: BK gives sound advice. As silly as it sounds, they won't improve your score unless you have debt or a card. Look for a Book by Dave Ramsey, and try to follow it. I dont agree with all of it. BUT it is overall sound advise.
