Credit Score Range Excellent

Question: What are the FICO Score ranges from Poor to Excellent credit?
Answer: FICO scores range from 300-850. 850 of course being perfect credit and 300 being horrible. Depending on what kind of loan one is looking for, mortgage rate, automobile rate, consumer rate, credit card rate, the rate offered to the borrower will most likely be higher to people with less than swell FICO scores. The median FICO score in the United States is 723. Most homebuyers will need to have a score within the 600-800 range to get a decent mortgage. People with lower FICO scores can often still get a loan however the rates might be considered almost usurous.

Credit Score American Express Gold

Question: AMEX Blue Cash Credit Card Eligibility Requirements?
I have an AMEX Gold Card with no pre-set spending limit. The issue with the gold card is that it has to be paid in full every month. I really like American Express, and would love to have their blue cash credit card which allows flexible payment. But I don't wanna apply for it without a good chance of being approved because whenever I apply for new credit, they perform a credit inquiry that lowers my FICO score for a few months. My question to any AMEX blue card holder is how was your credit situation when you were approved for your card ? I have a MasterCard and a VISA card with a total limit of $5000 and Zero balance. Also since I have the Gold Card, I believe I have good credit scores as well. Are the requirements for a Blue Cash Card even more stringent than those for the Gold Card ?
Answer: I have the Blue Cash card, and my situation was this when I got approved, I owned a home, mortgage in good standing, I had a chase credit card with a 0 balance, and a 15,000 credit limit, and 2 other cards. I am thinking that if you have the gold card then you should have no problem getting this card as AMEX is definitely more strict when it comes to a card with no preset limit. However, credit card companies can be finnicky and you really wont know until you apply.
