Question: My Credit Score on MyFico.com says its good for 30 days, can I see if that number changes in the 30 day window?

MyFico keeps asking me if I want an updated Credit Score but I had already paid for the score on 6/27 giving me 30 days to view it. Do I have to pay again within that 30 days to see if my score has changed? I recently disputed some information and I've received letters from the credit bureaus but when I look at the reports online there doesn't seem to be any change.

Answer: The answer is yes. What they mean by it's good for 30 days is your Credit Report and current score are available for your viewing for 30 days. To get an updated score you will have to pay again.

Question: How fast can Credit Repair be done?

I want to repair my credit quickly, like within 6-12 months have everything cleaned up and improved scores. Is this possible? How likely?

Answer: There is no fast way to do this. If you have bad credit it takes years to clean up. A bankruptcy 7-10 years. Bad payments on credit cards 2-3 years. 6-12 months is an unreasonable expectation. A good rule of thumb is figure it will take about as long to get out of bad credit reporting as it did to get you into it. Assuming you continue to pay all your bills on time.

Question: How can i remove charge off/ paid accounts off my Credit Report?

I paid off all my credit cards that were charged off last year thinking that if i paid them they would be removed from my Credit Report. Now i need to purchase a home and need to boost up my Credit Score fast. is there any way i can get those charge off/ paid off my Credit Report? can a Credit Repair place help me better if so which is a good one?

Answer: Paid charge-offs remain for 7 years from the date of last activity, unless you can get the company that is reporting to the credit bureaus to remove it as part ot a settlement agreement.
Credit Repair agencies cannot do anything to help. They will only cost you money, and do exactly what you can do for free, which is dispute the accuracy of the accounts with the credit bureaus. They charge ridiculous fees to send dispute letters, and often do more damage than good, as they often dispute positive as well as negative items.
There no such thing as a good Credit Repair company - they are all in business to rip you off.
